Doula Daybook

For postpartum doulas

Day & night care, lovingly logged.

Chart feedings, diapers and sleep during every session, then send the family a beautiful summary before you walk out the door.

How it works

Built from real shifts, one family at a time

Every button came from something that happened on the job. Tap once to log, then get back to the baby.

Six log buttons

Feeding, diaper, sleep, play, meds and parent time. Bottles in quarter ounces, nursing by side and minutes, and diaper color and consistency.

Sleep timers that get it

Already asleep when you arrived, transferred from arms to crib, handed to a parent still sleeping, or still asleep when you leave.

Leftover bottle timer

Log what's left and it shows when the bottle is good until: one hour for formula, two hours for breastmilk. Then it tells you it's time to toss it.

Mom matters too

Rest, feeding comfort, recovery and how she's feeling, in her own words. Plus the support you provided and a running-low shopping list.

Under the weather

Symptoms the parents shared, vaccination reactions, temperatures in °F or °C, and the care steps given, with who gave them.

Twins, handled

Log one twin or both at once. Each twin's numbers stay separate, and the summary shows them side by side.

For the family

Parents wake up to a clear, kind summary

  • Email it before you leaveA formatted summary goes straight to the family. When they reply, it comes to you.
  • Or text a pictureMake a branded report image to text or save, or copy the summary as plain text.
  • Families never need an accountThey just open the email. Nothing to download, nothing to remember.
  • Your records, your wayDownload any day as a spreadsheet for your own files.

Why I built it

I built Doula Daybook because I needed it.

I wanted postpartum doulas to stay completely organized while staying fully present with the families we serve. No two families, and no two sessions, are alike. Doula Daybook keeps each family's information in its own place, so our attention stays where it belongs: on the parents and the baby.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to download anything?
No app store needed. Open douladaybook.app on your phone and add it to your home screen. It opens full screen like any other app, and the app shows you how.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and any computer with a web browser.
Do families need an account?
No. Families get the summary by email or text and simply open it.
Can I use it overnight?
Yes. An overnight stays on the night it started, even after midnight, and the summary reads "Maya's night" instead of "Maya's day."
What happens to my logs if I cancel?
You can download your days as spreadsheets any time before you cancel, so your records stay with you.
Is it a medical record?
No. Doula Daybook is a care log to support your notes and keep families informed. It isn't medical advice, and it doesn't file insurance claims.
I have another question.
Email support@douladaybook.com and Char will get back to you.
